Done Right Food Services understands and acknowledges that some of the students we serve may have food allergies or intolerances. In order to assist such individuals in making appropriate food choices, Done Right Food Services can provide information on the ingredients, nutritional content, and standardized recipes for their food items.
Individuals with food allergies or intolerance should be aware, however, that Done Right Food Services cannot guarantee the accuracy of nutrition information for ingredients and food items provided by outside food manufacturers. Precautionary statements are made and are appropriate when, despite all reasonable measures, the inadvertent presence of allergens in food is possible. In addition, ingredient and nutritional content of foods may vary due to recipe substitution, portion size, product availability, and manufacturer changes in product formulation.
The Done Right Food Services staff is trained in safe food handling procedures and the potential severity of food allergies. Several of our schools are identified as “peanut-free”. In addition, several schools receive gluten-free and/or dairy-free meals. It is important to note, however, because foods are prepared in a commercial kitchen that contains a wide variety of products (including potential allergens), there is always a risk of cross contact. While every effort is made to maintain separate production areas, follow proper cleaning and sanitizing processes, identify allergenic ingredients and avoid cross contact, Done Right Food Services cannot eliminate the risk of potential adverse food reactions.
Upon request, Done Right Food Services plans menus for schools that are peanut and tree nut-free. Menus may include other ingredients, such as seeds, milk, egg, soybean, and other products that may be potential allergens.
